About Me

Hello and welcome to the That Hungry Nurse blog About Me page! My name is Jenny and I am a Maryland native (Go Terps) who has been living in California for 7 years now.

After getting my Bachelors Degree in Public Health, I went on to get my Master of Science in Nursing (MSN). Since then, I have worked in various different settings, including the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). I am also a Certified Critical Care Nurse (CCRN). As of March 2023, I have also taken on a new role as a transplant coordinator, and float between the (pre and post) kidney, liver, heart, and lung departments.

That Hungry Nurse about

On a personal note, I had my first baby in December of 2022, and let me tell you, that postpartum period has been a HARD journey. SO, in addition to nursing content, you’ll find quite a few posts on postpartum life, mental health, baby gear, and my postpartum fitness journey. I felt SO alone in the beginning stages of being postpartum, and my hope is that no new mom ever feels that way.
